Minyans are held at 8:30 AM every Monday, Thursday and on Rosh Chodesh.

We are frequently joined by members of the community who want to say Kaddish. Our Minyanaires provide minyans for funerals and shivas for Temple members whenever there are not adequate numbers of people in the family of the deceased. Temple Israel is the only congregation in the community to offer these services on a regular basis.

We invite and encourage all Jewish people, including Temple Members, local residents and visitors to participate with us in a very inspirational experience that includes Torah reading,

MORNING MINYANS

Did you hear about the old man who was planting a carob tree that would take 70 years to bear fruit? When asked why he was planting such a tree, whose fruit he would never enjoy, he replied that just as others had planted for him, he wanted to plant for others that would come after him.

And that is exactly what our weekday minyans are all about. By holding morning services on Monday and Thursday, we create an intimate venue to share spiritual needs – from honoring a deceased relative to praying for the recovery of a friend, to giving a little tzedaka in the morning.

There are so many retired people out there whose children have left home. You’re up early anyway and have lots of time on your hands. We would love to have you join us.
Please give us one morning every month for a Minyan service at 8:30 a.m. When you come to this 45 minute service, you will enjoy everything about it, and discover that the rest of the day is just a little bit sweeter.
